Mini Practical Guide: plan your lighting project with ease
Imagine, plan, shine: the recipe for a successful illumination project!
Leblanc Illuminations can help you create the perfect "WOW" effect!
Planning an illumination project can seem complex, but by asking the right questions from the outset, you can simplify the process and achieve a memorable result. Follow these key steps to make your project a success.
1. What is the goal of your project?
Clearly define your intention: beautification, commercial boost, special event or identity reinforcement. Specify the type of concept (festive, architectural, hybrid) and establish a realistic budget including installation, storage and maintenance, whether managed in-house or by a subcontractor.
2. What topic would you like to explore?
Choose a season, an event (Christmas, Easter, festival) or a personalized theme. Determine the colors, the type of animation (static, animated, immersive) and the desired ambiance (sober, elegant, engaging).

3. Which locations are being targeted?
Identify indoor or outdoor locations (buildings, parks, streets, public squares). These choices will influence design, technical constraints and logistics.
4. What kinds of decorations are you looking for?
Explore the options: pole mounted decorations, street crossings, self-supporting 2D/3D structures, interactive or made-to-measure decors. Think daytime aesthetics, eco-responsible solutions and specific installations (trees, facades).

5. What are the technical constraints?
Check the ownership of the sites or elements to be decorated (e.g. lampposts), anchoring possibilities, ground configuration, necessary clearances and proximity to power supply. Take into account municipal regulations, the risk of vandalism and weather conditions. A site visit is often recommended.
6. Do you have a team to handle management (installation, storage, maintenance)?
Decide whether your team will take charge of the installation or whether you will call in a subcontractor. Plan for indoor, dry, temperate storage. Leblanc Illuminations offers an annual maintenance program that includes inspections and discounts on parts. Schedule these operations during the low season (January to May) to avoid delays.
7. What is the useful life (or manufacturer’s warranty) of architectural lighting fixtures, materials, and products?
Leblanc Illuminations offers solid warranties: 2 years on LED products, 5 years on aluminum structures. Repair kits and a parts inventory ensure rapid service. For STARWAY floodlights, the warranty is 3 years on parts, and 5 years for the HALTO range.
But why didn't we buy from Leblanc Illuminations? They offer guarantees!
8. What are the deadlines for a proposal or submission?
Allow 1 to 3 weeks for a customized concept with existing scenery, and 2 to 5 weeks for custom-made scenery. Quotations for specific equipment are usually prompt. Launch your project early in the year for optimal choice and guaranteed delivery. Leblanc Illuminations offers free visual simulations.
